- Have a say in City budgets and decisions about your neighborhood.

Who Can Run?
Unlike other city, state, or federal elections, being a candidate in Neighborhood Council (NC) elections is open to more than just the residents of a community. The minimum age to run for NWNC seats is 18.
You can run if you meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Live, work, or own property or a business in Northridge West
- Attend or have a child who attends a school in Northridge West
- Have substantial and ongoing participation with a community organization (such as a church, synagogue or non profit) that has continuously maintained a physical street address for not less than one year, and that performs ongoing and verifiable activities and operations that benefit the neighborhood, and is located within the NC’s boundaries. A for-profit entity shall not qualify as a Community Organization.

All stakeholders must request a ballot in order to vote. Voting will be by mail-in ballot or drop off only (no in person voting). All links to voting Information will be provided here in February 2021 when the mail-in ballot request period opens.
VOTER ELIGIBILITY
You are eligible to vote in the NWNC election if you are at least 16 years of age on April 27, 2021 and meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Live, work, or own property or a business in Northridge West
- Attend or have a child who attends a school in Northridge West
- Belong to a church, synagogue, or community organization that has maintained an address in Northridge West for at least a year and is actively providing services
