Northridge West Neighborhood Council is coordinating with volunteers to make 250 fabric masks for the Northridge Recreation Center homeless facility, LAPD Devonshire Division and the San Fernando Valley Mission Food Pantry. We have donated medical masks to the hospital and funded key efforts in our community.

The installation of the three stunning, large than life size topiary horses are the culmination of a long process of Neighborhood Council meetings, collaboration with the Northridge Beautification Foundation, support from former local Councilmen Mitchell Englander, meetings with local city agencies such as the Urban Forestry Division, LA Department of Transportation, and the Bureau of Engineering.

The Oakridge Estate Park construction is finished and the park is open to the public. The eight-acre park has 128 new trees, 12 picnic tables, playground equipment, a small amphitheater and a meandering .3-mile walking trail. Children will enjoy the bouncy tractor and the mare and foal sculpture.
