Each year, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) engages in community outreach projects, including the Patriots Pen and Voice of Democracy Scholarship programs. These programs are designed to engage youth in our community and provide them with opportunities for academic growth. Monetary stipends are awarded to exceptionally qualified entries, with the possibility of advancing to higher levels of judging at the District, State, and National levels. This academic opportunity is certainly worth sharing with the community at large.
