|Dear Community Members and Families in the Aliso Canyon Disaster Area,
We write today to provide updates, announce that the study website is live, and share information on our activities in the coming months from the Aliso Canyon Disaster Health Research Study. Since our last communication, we have been setting up needed data collection and research infrastructure. We’re gathering and analyzing existing surveys, health, and environmental data. We are also preparing to collect new data. We’ve received preliminary feedback from community-members to inform our future outreach efforts.
We are pleased to announce that the study website is now live and includes a study overview, research timeline, and information about the study team. Some pages of the site are still under construction and will be available at a later time. We will use this website to post recent news, community events, and study findings.
In the coming months, we will develop a schedule of anticipated community events, to share information about the study and provide opportunities for community questions, feedback, and participation. By this fall, we’ll seek disaster-area residents to host air monitors in their homes and will share details on how to join this part of the study as soon as available. We encourage you to sign up for the listserv on the Contact Us page of the study website to receive information as it becomes available. We will continue to distribute important community announcements directly to this email.
