Northridge West Neighborhood Council Updates

By Greg Kromhout, Vice President of Administration, NWNC

Odds and Ends

Topics discussed at the October 2018 council meeting include a coyote trap-and-release program proposal to the city by City Councilman Mitchell Englander, the Los Angeles Community Plan updates, the 50-acre Bloom Park groundbreaking in Porter Ranch, and the new 148 room boutique hotel in the works at CSUN, at the corner of Zelzah and Nordhoff.

CSUN’s representatives described their partnership with LA Metro to improve campus access for CSUN students, including a $180m feasibility study for a rapid bus line on Nordhoff street. Public hearings for the bus line were held during September, with more hearings to come after possible bus routes have been decided.
