This week in Gina’s People, we have a FOX 11 viewer from Northridge who’s taking it upon herself to clean up her community. Chris Williams has no tolerance for trashy, run-down neighborhoods. Once a week she hits the streets of Northridge to water the flowers, whack the weeds and pick up the trash.  Not just at her house… at random locations in Northridge.

She says, “I love to make things better. I just like to leave things better than I found them.” Chris started cleaning up the streets in her community nearly 25 years ago.

When her family realized she wasn’t going to stop,  they decided to get her gifts she could use.  “I got a backpack blower for Mother’s Day and professional lawn mower and weed whacker for Christmas, ” says Chris.

Chris has managed to get others in her community to help her once a week.  They call themselves “The Blight Busters”.  Kudos to Chris Williams for making a difference in her community!

If you know people like Chris, please let us know. Every Monday morning, we recognize our special FOX 11 viewers.
