Matthew Vallecilla

My name is Matthew Vallecilla, I am a third generation Northridge resident and UCLA graduate. My grandparents moved to Northidge in the 1960s, my father and uncles grew up here playing little league and Pop Warner and I attended the same neighborhood schools that my father went to. I am happy to call Northridge my home and would like nothing more than to have the opportunity to play an active part in keeping my community a safe, clean, ideal place for people to live and raise families.

I would be honored to have your vote and if elected, I promise to work hard to promote projects that improve Northridge streets, remove graffiti and overgrown brush while also finding ways to save the council money by eliminating waste and promoting more efficient spending of allocated funds.

Gerry Malais

I am running for re-election to continue the progress we’ve during my term as President of the NC.

Justin Richardson

My wife and I have lived in Northridge for over 25 years, we raised our six children in Northridge; they attended local public schools from elementary school thru high school.

Though we do live in a wonderful community we do face challenges such as traffic flow and crime to mention two.

I realize that the neighborhood council has very limited authority to solve problems, but I also know that by being actively involved I can help make a difference where it counts, here at home.

I look forward to serving our community as one of the Northridge community representatives.

Justin Richardson

Pamela Gentry

I was born and raised in the SF Valley, graduated UCLA, was a City Hall reporter for a local newspaper and subsequently worked for a City Councilman focussing on environmental issues as an administrative assistant. After leaving to produce talk shows at KABC radio, I ultimately devoted myself to a career in conflict resolution with the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service. Throughout, I volunteered on city committees wherever I was, including the economic development commission in Alameda, California, during the closure of the Alameda Naval Air Station, represented Alameda for 15 years of lawsuits and negotiations to a successful conclusion mitigating the noise over Alameda due to the expansion of the Oakland Airport.

My philosophy and vision is proactive leadership thru vision, strategic planning and community input. The best resource is the community the Board represents.

My wife and I set roots in this beautiful neighborhood and I want to ensure that our community maintains its charm during this time of increased development.I am a financial auditor by trade and will bring professionalism and fiscal experience to the council. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to representing you.

I Love Northridge. I am raising my family here as well as owning and running a business here. Over the past few years I have felt the quality of live has gone down in our area, with increased crime and far fewer city services. I want to focus attention on improving the quality of life for our families and better managing the budget to provide more for our constituents with the limited resources available.

Peter Lasky

I would like to help out and be a positive influence in the community and make it a better place for all the stakeholders. We have lived in the community for over 20 years and participated in the community by coaching youth sports teams in AYSO and basketball. I owned, operated and sold a business here and feel that my business experience would enable me to make reasonable, responsible, decisions.

Northridge is my home. I have lived at this address for 53 years. I have had the opportunity to watch Northridge grow to the wonderful community that we live in. My desire is to continue to help keep Northridge safe, secure and beautiful. During my present term, I have made an effort to contribute to the education of our young people by helping the schools finance projects that benefit the schools, the classrooms and the children. I believe it is important to do all that we can to help and encourage the youngsters in our community to do well in school to contribute to our community and to enjoy a good life. Our children are our future.
