Northridge West Neighborhood Council Operation Clean Sweep – Week 30 Plans

To all Northridge Stakeholders:

You are all invited this Saturday 2/5/11 (7AM to 10AM) to join Northridge West Neighborhood Councils sponsored Operation Clean Sweep along the south side of Devonshire between Tunney to Tampa Avenue.

We are proud to announce that this weekend’s operations will be complimented by Girl Scouts Troop 150-6 of Northridge who will be setting an example for the younger generation of Northridge stakeholders to follow as we clean up the south side of Devonshire Street and part of Tunney Avenue south of Devonshire Street. The seasoned volunteers will be mentoring these bright and shining stars in the basic 101 skills of gardening and the value it brings to a community.
So grab a friend, neighbor, girlfriend, boyfriend, favorite football team (Steelers/Packers)  interested in helping improve our community by coming out and joining us as we build our team of dedicated volunteers committed to having fun, meeting new people and making Northridge a cleaner, greener and safer community to live, learn, work and play. Parking will be on Tunney Avenue along the south side of Devonshire Street between west of Tampa Avenue. We will be starting around 7AM and meeting on the south-east corner of Devonshire & Tunney Avenue to review the work plan after a lengthy discussion over the Packers defense weaknesses sipping hot chocolate & coffee, while enjoying fresh warm donuts, bagels and brownies. Please contact me if you have any questions or need directions.

ATTENTION:  Thursday 2/3/11 Operation Retirement Clean Sweep meets at Mayall Street between Vanalden and Wilbur. Look for the orange cones.

We will clean Mayall Street between Vanalden and Wilbur.

Bring gloves and clippers; we bring trash bags, trash cans, refreshments, etc.

Please forward this note to friends and neighbors in the area; we need to expand the group.   Hope to see you at Lassen and Vanalden 9 am tomorrow.

With your help we are demonstrating that as a united community we can stamp out unsightly areas within our neighborhoods by joining hands and working together one block at a time. So please come join us as we build new friendships, develop existing ones while having fun improving and building a closer and cleaner, safer community. Thank you for helping keep America beautiful!
