Happy New Year from Northridge West Neighborhood Council‏‏

To All Northridge Stakeholders:

We took responsibility for the Reseda median just south of Lassen Street turning it from a weed infested jungle into a nicely manicured Northridge Oasis (See attached pictures). These accomplishments were the results of numerous volunteers that sacrificed many of their Thursday’s, Saturday’s and Sunday’s to make Northridge a cleaner and greener community to live. These volunteers were your everyday neighbor, friend, co-worker, parent, student, family member that wanted to give something back to their community to make it a better place to live and work. It is these individuals that I and the rest of the Northridge West Neighborhood Council Board owe our greatest appreciation and admiration to for helping make Northridge a great community.

As we move forward my vision of the councils direction will be in expanding Operation Clean Sweep participation, to Revitalize the twelve bus stops along Tampa Avenue, to Update the identities of our communities with signs, to educate and train the community in how to deal with a disaster/emergency by providing free CPR/1st Aid/CERT training and to build a stronger united community by developing new and strengthening existing friendships.

On behalf of the Northridge West Neighborhood Council – Happy New Year!

Tom Johnson
