Northridge West Neigborhood Council Operation Clean Sweep – Week 25

To all Northridge Stakeholders:

You are all invited this Saturday 12/18/10 (7AM to 10AM) to join in the trend-setting efforts of the Northridge West Neighborhood Council-sponsored Operation Clean Sweep along the West side of Tampa Avenue between the Tunney and Devonshire Street.

This weekend’s mission will be to trim and clean up many of the overhanging trees/bushes/debris and prepare the west side of Tampa Avenue, the north side of Devonshire Street (including the section east of the flood control area) and both the north & south sides of Tunney Avenue for our January 15th operations in which Northridge West Neighborhood Council and Hope Worldwide will team up to restore these areas to their natural beauty.

So please tell your friends, neighbors or anyone you think that would be interested in helping improve our community to come and join us as we build our team of dedicated volunteers committed to having fun, meeting new people and making Northridge a cleaner, greener and safer place to live, learn and work. Parking will be on Tunney Avenue along the west side of Tampa Avenue. We will be starting around 7AM and meeting on the south-west corner of Tunney & Tampa Avenue to review the work plan over coffee, donuts, and bagels. Please contact me if you have any questions or need directions.

With your help we are demonstrating that as a united community we can stamp out unsightly areas within our neighborhoods by joining hands and working together one block at a time. So please come join us as we build new friendships, develop existing ones while having fun improving and building a closer and cleaner, safer community. Thank you.

Tom Johnson
President
Northridge West Neighborhood Council

PS: Please note that PALS (located at Wilbur and Parthenia Streets) is still in need of Toy Donations for the gift giveaway – PALS has been instrumental in providing the youth of the Northridge area with enriching, rewarding and instructive experiences thereby assisting in their development into mature, responsible adults. PALS will strive to be an outstanding citizen in the community by “Giving Youth a Brighter Tomorrow”.
