I want to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving holiday! Also, I ask that you keep our men and women in the military as well as our veterans in your thoughts as well. If it wasn’t for them, we wouldn’t have nearly all the opportunities that are afforded us today’s Happy Thanksgiving.
In an effort to help everyone enjoy the rest of your great Thanksgiving Holiday you are all invited this Saturday 11/27/10 (7AM to 10AM) to join us in the trend setting efforts of Northridge West Neighborhood Councils sponsored Operation Clean Sweep along the West side of Tampa Avenue between Chatsworth and the 118 Freeway. Saturday’s operations should complete our original goal of cleaning up both the east and west sides of Tampa Avenue from the 118 Freeway to Plummer Street.
In recognition of this milestone we will be having coffee, bagel, donuts and hand outs. So please tell your friends, neighbors or anyone you think that maybe interested in joining our dream team of dedicated volunteers committed to having fun, meeting new people and making Northridge a cleaner, greener and safer place to live, work and play. Parking will be on Chatsworth Street along the west side of Tampa Avenue. We will be starting around 7AM and meeting on the north-west corner of Chatsworth & Tampa Streets to review the work plan over breakfast. Please contact me if you have any questions or need directions.
With your help we are demonstrating that as a unified community we are having fun, meeting our neighbors and stamping out blighted areas within our neighborhoods by joining hands and working together. Come join us as we have fun working in unity at building a closer community. Thank you.
