Many thanks to all the volunteers that came out this past weekend in support of Operation Clean Sweep. You not only met the challenge of cleaning up the debris between Devonshire and Blackhawk Streets but you extended our reach up to Germaine where the Incredible Hulk (a.k.a Craig Michayluk), Constant Casey (a.k.a Glen Wilson), Warren (Alias Mike) Spurlock, Can-Do Allen Williams, Newcomer Nick Varvais, Go-Get-Em Joann Phillps, Dynamite Debbie Penman and Sammy J tackled the mission of clearing a path between Blackhawk and Germain Streets East side of Tampa Ave where the over growth of trees and bush impeded the path of travel.
This weekend also brought us back to the West side of Tampa Ave between Devonshire and Tunney Streets for a tidy up mission where Get-It-Done Williams, Ozzy Osbourne Grossmen and Slim Shady Brookster slammed the door on the reoccurring debris.
With your help and that of the new volunteers that are stepping up and joining us we are meeting the challenge to push back the blighted streets of Northridge by demonstrating that volunteering time and energy builds a close knit of neighbors committed to a cleaner, greener and safer community that we all can be proud of.
