Northridge West Neigborhood Council Operation Clean Sweep – Week 15 Plans

To All Stakeholders of Northridge:

You are hereby invited this Saturday 10/9/10 (7AM to 11AM) to join in with Councilman Greig Smith efforts and that of Northridge West Neighborhood Council in Operation Clean Sweep along the Wilbur Ave North of Chatsworth Street and along Chatsworth Street West of Wilbur Avenue. By joining our resources with Councilman Smith we will be able to beautify more area as well as increase the awareness and appreciation of the impact a community of volunteers has working together in unity to stamp out blighted areas within our neighborhoods.

Saturday’s operations will complement our previous 14 weeks of spoofing operations along Tampa Avenue that are yielding remarkable improvements in appearance. These improvements could not have materialized without your continued commitment each Saturday to clean up Northridge while demonstrating that working together in unity we can make a difference in making Northridge a cleaner, greener and safer place to live and work.

Our goal will to be to beautify Chatsworth Street between Vanalden to Wilbur and along Wilbur between Chatsworth to Los Alimos Streets. So please tell your friends, neighbors or anyone you think that maybe interested in joining Councilmen Smith efforts and a fine tuned team of dedicated volunteers that are committed to having fun, meeting new people and making Northridge a cleaner, greener and safer place to live and work. Parking will be on Vanalden Street North and South of Chatsworth Street. Vanalden Street is located 1 block west of Wilbur Avenue on Chatsworth Street east of Tampa Avenue. We will be starting around 7AM and meeting on the corner of Vanalden & Chatsworth Streets then meeting up with Councilman Greig Smith’s team around 9AM at the Northridge Christian Church. Please contact me if you have any questions or need directions.

With your help we are demonstrating that as a community we are stamping out blighted areas within our neighborhoods by joining hands and working together. That’s what is making the difference – unity within the community. Thank you

Tom Johnson
President
Northridge West Neighborhood Council
