Northridge West Neigborhood Council Operation Clean Sweep – Week 11

To All Stakeholders of Northridge:

You are invited this Saturday 9/11/10 to join in the milestone breaking efforts of the Northridge West Neighborhood Councils sponsored Operation Clean Sweep along the East side of Tampa Avenue from Halsted to Superior Streets. Saturday’s operations will extend the accomplishments of last week and give us a jump start on spoofing up Tampa all the way up to the 118 Freeway. With your continued help and commitment we are making a difference to make Northridge a cleaner and greener place to live and work.

The new mission goal is to reach the 118 Freeway along the east side of Tampa Avenue by the middle or end of October then marching on to the next operation which will be announced within the next few weeks. So please take a moment to tell your friends, neighbors or anyone you think that maybe interested in joining a fine tuned team of dedicated volunteers committed to having fun meeting new people while making Northridge a cleaner and greener place to live and work. Parking will be on Superior Street located on the east side of Tampa Ave. We will be starting around 7AM and meeting on the corner of Tampa & Superior Streets. Please contact me if you have any questions or need directions.

A small posse will be assembled to continue the cleanup efforts of the Reseda Blvd median just south of Lassen Street & the Fire Station. There is still much work to do in restoring our streets and medians to a respectable level of acceptance and with your help we are demonstrating it can be done. Thank you

Tom Johnson
President
Northridge West Neighborhood Council

PS: Stay tuned for an announcement within the next week of an Outreach event thanking all the volunteers, neighbors, businesses, Councilmen Smith and his awesome Staff as well as NWNC Board Members that are contributing to Clean Sweeps success. Without them Tampa and Reseda median would still be weed and debris infested collectors for trash to accumulate. Hope to see U there  TJ
