Northridge Operation Clean Sweep along Tampa – August 7, 2010

To all Northridge Stakeholders:

Fantastic job to all the volunteers that came out for Saturday’s Northridge West Operation Clean Sweep along Tampa Blvd. This weekend’s operation was our largest event with the greatest challenges to date with weeds the size of small tree stumps. With all your help and support we are on our way to achieving our milestone of reaching Plummer by the end of August.

I would like to thank Martha and Robert Wilson, Terri Grossmen, Fred Rymond, Kerry Gordon, Sammy J, Debbie and Don Penman, Jo Ann Phillips, Sarah Yang and all the Boys and Girls from the Hwarang Valley Leo Club who came out bright and early to help us fill over 100 trash bags and 8 full size Green City trash Containers with trash and debris picked up along Tampa Avenue. I would like to give a special thank you to all the parents that woke up early on Saturday to bring their children to Northridge and joined in the cleanup operations to make Northridge a Clean and Green place to live and work.

A special thank you to Vic Rotella and his wife for their gracious support in providing all the volunteers with fruit, soda, and inspiration to keep the operations going.

In addition to the operations along Tampa Saturday we were able to continue the efforts to clean up the median along Reseda Blvd just south of Lessen. We will continue to divert resources to this area as they become available.

With all your help we will continue to make Northridge a cleaner and greener place to live and work. Thank you.
